Smoothie type of week?

Hello beautiful! Hope your weekend is going great!

Mine has been nice so far, I have been visiting my boyfriend´s parents and we went together to Sipoo (Sibbo) to check out their cabin there and then back home, we had some wok and salad...amazing taste. And now we´re back home trying to plan tomorrow, but since my week is going to be crazy, we have decided to take it easy tomorrow, do useful stuff and relax.

So probably we will hit the gym in the morning and then just do a little bit of groceries shopping.

Since my week is going to be so rough, from 9 to 17:00 everyday, I decided to do a little detox, trying to get only salad at school and bring in some smoothies, home-made in my glass jars. So obviously I need some supplies, that´s why I am planning to go get some fruits tomorrow.

Are you curious about the smoothies I will prepare? Well, I will drop my options here if you´re interested!

Monday
The Flat Belly (Greek yoghurt, blueberries, pineapple, kale and water)

Tuesday
Kiwi and Mango (Low fat vanilla yoghurt, baby spinach, blueberries, mango, kiwi, walnuts,...)

Wednesday

Simple Green Blueberry (unsweetened almond milk, vanilla protein powder, blueberries, spinach, low fat yoghurt, ice cubes)

Thursday
Sweet Spinach (spinach, pear, red grapes, Greek yoghurt, avocado and lime juice)

Friday
Cinnamon Roll (banana, unsweetened almond milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup)

Do you have any challenge for the week coming?

My star today is Chanel LÈVRE SCINTILLANTES...

Hi guys! Sorry for my eternal absence but as I´ve said in the last post I really really had a rough week...but hey, now I am back in business and I have exciting news to post about!

I´ve recently told you about the StrawberryNET order, a how-to...since there are so many people out there that are afraid taking the step and order though them or just they don´t know how to do and how to proceed. Well, today I want to update a little bit that post with new info as my order arrived!

If you want to read the how-to order at StrawberryNET post, go here.

Anyway, so briefly, my order has arrived, on 18th of March,...in a supersmall package, though I paid the customs on 13th of March though online and my boyfriend helped me since he is the one with a Finnish bank account (I wasn´t interested getting one haha). So, quite...slow shipping and everything I would say. The items were protected enough inside with these foamy things inside. The package looked like it was opened...and I wasn´t really happy about that, I am not sure but it looked like it and it was probably at the border, Finnish authorities.

I got my Chanel LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES...and a bronzing powder by Calvin Klein and they have sent me 2 gifts, a Calvin Klein lipgloss and a CK lipstick in a color unfortunately doesn´t fit me.

Would I buy from this site again? Probably not anytime soon. Their prices are OK, true, but the hassle and the time you wait for the products to arrive...it´s way too much. Some products don´t have a big discount as you would expect. I did liked the fact they were packed safe enough and that they claim they pay you back the customs, but ...it just takes way too much to get your things and the customs payment is not much to Finland.

About the Customs/Taxes for Finland: I hate when bloggers post about their amazing purchases but they never talk about the process they went through when ordering from a foreign website. That´s why I decided to write about this.

You wouldn´t pay any tax if your purchase would be under 22 euros (at least in Finland). I have declared my package to contain lip-makeup products, and I have been charged with 24% of what I have paid (since the total of my order was aprox. 35e)...so...I paid 8,57 to Customs and sent an email to StrawberryNET with an electronic invoice hoping they will do as they claim, return me the tax paid. I will come to you back and let you guys know if they will or not pay.

However here are some of the items I have been purchasing lately...some stuff missing as I was in a hurry and just took a picture of what I had in hand.

1. ISADORA - 617 Dolce Vita
2. CK Delicious Light Glistering Lipgloss - 311 Crystalline
3. Chanel LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES - 176 Crushed Cherry
4. CK Summer Affair Bronzing Powder - 305 Sun Kissed
From this picture, the only things I have purchased from StrawberryNET is the Chanel glossimer and the CK bronzing powder, as well as the gift I got from them, the CK lipgloss.

Do you have any favorites? Ever tried Chanel Scintillantes collection??? This is my second one...

Just a little time...

Hi dear ones! I am here today to apologize for my absence in the blog for some days. It is being really rough at uni and I have so much to do I barely have no time to eat, word. I have been working on many presentations these past 2 weeks and now I am having my last presentations for this period...and need to make the best out of it!

I am so überstressed with school, but I think it´s because I am too passionate about it and I just love it. I couldn´t picture myself doing anything else as good as I would do in here, so everyday for me is a day of improvement and learning new things and developing myself in this lovely field. I wish everyone could feel as passionate as me about what they are doing everyday. Believe me things would be so much easier if you love what you do. Is like you live for that. No matter how much you have to do, how much time takes, how many sleepless hours you have...at the end of the day when you ask yourself why are you doing this to you, the answer it would be clear, because you love it.

That´s how I feel right now. This is a very challenging week for me, as I am running out of time for some tasks, I will squeeze the best out of me there and I will let you know how it went this Friday! I will be so happy it´s over, because believe me, you might love what you do, but I bet no one likes deadlines...haha.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Recipe: Veggies Stir Fry and Chicken

Who doesn´t love this classic? Many of us already know this but there might be someone who is still not updated. Here is an easy recipe for this delicious and healthy enough dish!

I do not write quantities of the veggies as it´s up to you. Let´s say that in total we should have 600 g of veggies all together.

° 450g boneless chicken (skinless, breast)
° carrots
° green pepper
° sweet red pepper
° cauliflower
° broccoli
° 3 cloves of garlic
° 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped ginger
° 2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
° 2 tablespoons of water
° sprinkle of sugar or sweetener
° olive oil
° sprinkle of sesame seeds

INSTRUCTIONS: In a large pan add the oil and let it get nice and warm and then add the chicken and cook it through for few minutes until is done. Take it out the pan and keep it in a plate aside.
In the remaining oil, add more if needed, add the garlic and the ginger to cook a little and add the veggies. While they are cooking, prepare a small bowl with the soy sauce, the water and sprinkle of sugar (I like to use honey...).
Cook the veggies for about 3 minutes, add the chicken back to the pan and heat it with the veggies for a little while (few seconds, aprox. 40). Add the sauce you´ve just prepared in the small bowl in the pan and cook everything together for about 1 minute more.

You can modify this recipe as you want...you can add mushrooms, you can add prawns instead of chicken...there are so many ways!

This would go divine with some rice...and enjoy!

Daisy Eau So Fresh is such a sweet scent...

Hi all! Today I am here presenting you my new little big boy, Daisy Eau so Fresh by Marc Jacobs. I got this one with 75mL as I was thinking it´s enough but I see I have fooled myself because this little scent here smells so good...it´s a sweet elegant smell, pretty fresh as the name say but floral. I have tried this scent and I have been reading negative comments on it saying that it doesnt hold, well, maybe is because my skin is so sensitive and fine, it holds perfectly for at least half of the day on my skin! Any reasons why I wouldn´t love it?

My next purchase is going to be Honey...oh yes.

Any comments on the packaging? It just looks adorable.

Beautiful morning and roses from my dear one ♡

Hope you all had an amazing day! And the week it´s coming to an end...I am optimistic, I know.

Friendships and Happiness

Hello my dear readers! Hope you all had a wonderful Women's Day and great weekend...unfortunately Monday is right around the corner waiting for us and our sleepy heads. It happens.

Yesterday I've announced in my Instagram account that I was going to talk about friendships and happiness in my blog, so here I am trying to squeeze together my thoughts on these two and how good they work together, and of course, how we should act like to make them happen.

It's a weird feeling me writing about this because is not that I have the best friendships ever but maybe that's what makes it more interesting. Everyone knows one or two people in their life that never complain about their friends, like they would never judge, let's be honest ladies! We judge and a lot!
I came across these thoughts a little earlier this week thinking about the high expectations I used to have in my late teens on people and how I slowly realized that I will always be alone if I expect so much and always be unhappy about everything. At the same time it made me feel artificial inside.
I am one of those people that expect same given or more from someone else and it's not easy to get anything back today, unless you have your childhood friends with you. Maybe I am wrong. I remember being so frustrated and sad and angry on people back then, I remember building up expectations when I first got to meet someone, already painting us doing something together (guess it was something I thought both would like), having fun, going out, meet others, not clashing in any way. I was always picturing the perfect friends and how I wanted them to be. But isn't that fooling yourself?

Over the past years, being in university opened up my eyes about what people like to be nowadays. I got to know other generations and how they react to friendships nowadays and I got to learn what these people really want nowadays to stick together and what does it take to be BFF, as they call themselves.

People come and go, just like the flow of a river, they continue their journey, never static. You need to be a rock on their way to make them stay and maybe not even then. There are so many people out there with great luck and awesome friendships, they know they'd going to be rescued anytime they need a pick up...but should I risk myself and claim that I believe there are more of the opposite people? That there are more people out there that are by themselves, trying to hang around a friendship they already know is not going to last or do any good to them...I like to see it as part of our culture nowadays, we have learnt to be tolerant to eachother (which is great!) but also at some point being superficial (which is great and not great, depending on the situation). This is the key to happiness in a friendship nowadays is, understand your friend and accept him/her and don't go too deep in their flaws, you want to keep it on the surface, you don't want those great mistakes they've been doing to be on the scene, you don't even want to think about them. You don't want to be reminded on how many things you and your BFF do not agree on. Of course, these might be superficial or not, but to our heads they've become unconditionally superficial because our desire of having someone is greater than our values (at least for some)...we start to forget what we believe in but we remember it at times when we miss it, yet is not enough to face the reality and go to your friend and say who you really are. We all have secrets. Who is denying that? And we know that there are things we are not going to share not even with our beloved ones because we care about them and we wouldn't like them to get hurt.

But how to learn to be happy with all these little flaws, surviving your friendships and at the same time staying loyal to yourself and not forgetting your values? That's a real question there. I have figured out in the past years that if you expect from people to give you same things you have been giving to them, you will never be completely happy. We are different in this way and we will never give back what we've been giving away, at least that's how I understood it. I have learnt to expect less from people I've just met, to be superficial with them, and not expect big things coming up right a week after meeting them, no matter how bright the sky might look there are always chances to rain. I have learnt that if we know what we deserve, we're going to have it harder finding a perfect friendship, we need to ignore our pride a little bit and act like they are acting. Now, this might be difficult for someone like me, for instance. I am still expecting some things sometimes from people, unfortunately, and I cannot be that superficial neither ignore my pride sometimes nor forget about values. But this doesn't mean there are not people out there that cannot do this if they truly want someone to be their friend, and if they appreciate friendship a little more than own values, if they think friendship probably is going to save their values!

My story ends when I met so many people around me, yet no one didn't even try to make an effort for me, while I was giving out my best...I was expecting too much and I was being too honest, to them and to myself. What am I doing now? I keep away from group of friends. I focus on meeting new people that are similar to me and that might have high expectations, maybe that is the only way to not to clash with someone, surround yourself with someone you might appreciate, you might admire, and you might look at like at your own self. I believe in soul mates, and I believe there is someone for each of us. But try to imagine how difficult it might get to find that someone in this Earth. Maybe they're not even living in the same countries as us, who knows...

The point here is, do not give up on what you want and appreciate. One day you will grow up and you will realize how important is staying true to ourselves and getting to know ourselves before getting to know someone. The most important tip to a happy and great friendship is to know yourself, your expectations, your ambitions, your dreams, your plans, your values...and then, you will see the same thing in your best friend, and that for sure, the person that you will look up at like at yourself, that's going to be your best friend. Don't get too used to call everyone a best friend. Be picky enough and rethink the decisions you are making, you won't regret it over years, when you will realize how much time you spent with that someone that is not in your life now, because they discovered a flaw on you and they decided to leave. Eveyone has flaws, if your friend lets you know about his/hers, appreciate it, not many people nowadays have the courage to admit they are no perfect. If you have flaws, embrace them, you are unique, just as many others, don't shout them out there, but...don't lie to what you consider your best friend. If he/she are the ones, they won't abandon you, they would keep you even closer, just because you had the guts to admit.

There are ups and downs, life is a rollercoaster, so friends are, sometimes they are there, sometimes they decide to leave, some they get here and might want to get to know you. Be open, love yourself and embrace yourself, get to know your inner better, and then...let the magic begin. This might be something more than just friendships, sociologically spoken,...maybe biology plays it role too. Who knows? But what I know is that at least once in our lifetime we will experience a great friendship and a bunch of failures. That's how life goes and not just for you, but for everyone! And the good thing about this is that we always gain something...experience, moments, knowledge...enjoy it and remember best friends a.k.a soul mates, exist.

Do you have BFFs? Have you ever thought more in depth about your friendship? How is it going? Be happy and enjoy every single day!

Who says what is trendy and fashionable?

Hi everyone!

Recently I have been browsing through fashion magazines online and offline and I was just wondering as many of you who comes up with this established concept of ''trendiness'' or ''fashionable''? I have seen the most random things in the last years that have became fashionable though back in time no one wanted to wear them. Remember how scared were we of glasses with huge frames? Well seems like not anymore.

Many of us believe high fashion designers come up with the trends while the others just follow. That´s why it doesn´t matter if it looks bad, if it doesn´t fit, if it´s old-style or if it´s simply not correct, they carry a name and a reputation behind, so nothing can go wrong. People would accept it and embrace the items and soon they will be someone´s favorites just because it carries fame. It is very usual to see people wearing something that it might not even flatter their figure just for the fact that this is fashion, this is what they're wearing at the Fashion Week, this is what Donatella is wearing.

I got to the conclusion that there's no way to set trends, there are so many aspects that influence when establishing what´s trendy and what not...probably designers know best how lost they feel or insecure when designing something and just thinking about other´s opinion. Let´s be real, I doubt someone is not thinking at all in what will others say when creating something. After all everyone seeks success, and success is just the mature fruit after the blossom. Every designer wills for a successful blossom no matter the industry you're in.

But is it really that people lost a little bit their track of originality and just focus on following the trends established without getting out of the track? Are you one of those? I am very sure you are not alone. It wouldn't be the first time when I get to know about a certain trend but I refuse following it just because I dislike it. As I have heard is very hard to learn how to dislike the established, the accepted, it's difficult to get out of that box a little and explore by your own...and probably most of the time it's just because there's judgement behind. We love to judge others, and is not always bad but, it's good to know the difference when to judge someone because the certain piece is not fitting them with harmony and when you're already digging into that person's own preferences.
I dislike myself being judged for some decisions I make sometimes regarding my wardrobe, like the colors I wear (which are not crazy at all - I am not a fan of neons) or the combinations I sometimes make and it's fun hearing someone else opinion from the outside! I do appreciate when someone comments on something I am wearing or whatever related to my wardrobe (negative or positively)!

Are you one of those that they agree with what they are told to wear or are you a rebel in leather jacket that is never going to give up her style? Comment below! Would love to hear what do you think about the power of fashion!

An outfit I would love to wear!

I was looking for classic outfits the other day and realized how many bloggers are blending classy with sporty or, simply making up their own style of classy. Well, this is my own. Every single item in this picture, I picked myself and combined in my very own way. I would rather define it the Super Classy...and I completely love it.

What do you think? Do you have any fave?

Recipe: Skagenröra, a Swedish shrimp salad

I´ve just talked to a Swedish friend of mine and she was mentioning how bad she's missing Skagen with potatoes. Well, some might consider this recipe fitnessy enough, some not, because of the mayo but as long as you keep it under control and you don´t eat the whole bowl of Skagen, I promise nothing bad is going to happen to your dear abs or buttocks...for one delicious Skagen toast or potato.

° 500 gr shrimps, cooked and unpeeled (the small ones are perfect)
° 3 tablespoons of mayo (you can choose your fave, light mayo, for instance)
° 3 tablespoons of crème fraîche (choose your fave, low-fat is perfect)
° 1 tablespoon of finely chopped dill
° 50 gr bleak roe (I got mine from Ikea for cheap enough and very good!)
° 1/2 half red onion finely chopped
° fresh grounded white pepper (as much as you want, since depends on how spicy you like it)

INSTRUCTIONS: Peel the shrimps and chop them as big as you would like them. Mix together the mayo and the crème fraîche (sour cream), add the dill, onion, roe and white pepper. Mix and add the shrimps. Mix well again until everything is combined and it´s done!

Now you will just need couple baked potatoes, have a nice warm baguette on hand...or on a toast!

Enjoy!!!

DIY: Glittery Starbucks Tumbler

Hi there! So today I am coming with a very crafty idea. Today I was passing by a Tiger Store and couldn´t stop noticing this one glitter paper (golden) they had for 4 euros. Instantly I got in my mind this brilliant idea...as I´ve always wanted my Starbucks tumbler to be more customized and glittery.

I looked through eBay and they are super expensive, for what they are...glittery tumblers...so instead of having the glitter sticked outside on the tumbler I will actually craft with the paper and use it as a tumbler design inside. If you have one of those customizable tumblers, you can do it too!

Things you will need
° A customizable tumbler (mine is from Starbucks)
° A glittery paper (I got mine from Tiger - glitter wrapping paper)
° Scissors
° Pencil
° A cool design (browse pictures with very black outlines from Google and print them)

getting it to turn into...

Or if you prefer, no picture, just the glitter. How do you like it? I still need to improve my crafty skills...haha.
